In the 2nd episode of India First Leadership Talk organized by the MHRD Innovation Cell, Dr. Anand Deshpande shared his thoughts with students across the country. The webinar on 24th January 2019, 11:30 AM was streamed to a packed audience at Dr. MGR Educaional and Research Institute.  

Dr. Anand Deshpande, Founder and Managing Director of Persistent Systems, a global USD 40 million enterprise.  Networking, deep skill in a niche area, continuous updating in technology, marketing competence are some essential skills for youngsters today.  Students from IT background must explore opportunities to use their coding skills to solve problems in Agriculture, Healthcare and other such fields.  Women in Engineering and Technology do face gender inequalities, but for someone who believes in themslves they can create their own opportunities. While there is a trend to use hackathons as a part of the placement process, Dr. Deshpande felt the need for blended selection processes, since communication skills are most essential for business success.
