Researchers from the Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute got together to discuss their strenths and avenues for future Research. Dr. Rama Vaidyanathan welcomed the audience and Dr. G. Gopalakrishnan gave the Presidential address.

The program started with a homage to late Dr. P.T. Manoharan,  Advisor to Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute by Dr. Padmasini Kannan, Professor of English. Dr. Venil Sumantran gave a talk highlighting where we stand in research and some of the landmark achievements from India. Mr. Prathap Das from Proquest India highlithed the importance of Digital Theses databases and its use. Mr. Surya, a visiting faculty of Virginia Tech India gave a talk on Neural Networks.

Dr. Christina Paul, Vice Principal of ACS Medical College gave a clear talk on use of statistics in Medical Research. Dr. AG Srinivasan of Dept of Mathematics gave a different perspective to statistical analysis.  Dr. T. Radhika from Thai Mookambikai Dental College shared here research in Salivary diagnostics. Dr. Rajalaxmi spoke on Neural plasticity.  

Dr. Anbalagan and Dr. Prabakara shared their research in clinical medicine in discovering early markers for various diseases. 

Dr. Dinesh, moderated a panel discussion on "Industry-Academy linkages with Mr. Balram Nair, Chennai Angels, Mr. Rajesh from KKM Soft and Mr.Surya. 

The program ended with a wow to develop collaborations among the family Dr. MGR Institutions.
