Commencing with an introductive speech on leadership and about the speaker Mr. Anand Mahindra, given by Dr. Rama Vaidyanathan, the session witnessed a participation of nearly 150 students. The participants were a mix of ECE, CSE, Civil, Biotech and EEE branches of B.Tech.

  At exactly 2.00 pm, the webinar began with the virtual presence of Mr. Anand Mahindra. He began with greeting all the viewers and went on to grant his advice for aspiring youngsters to practice HBS, which is an acronym for Humility, Brevity and Self-awareness as he stated. When faced with the student’s questions raised in the online chat, he answered them by sharing his personal experience and habits. Some of the valuable thoughts which he shared are about having the right mentality when performing any task, understanding whether one is a visionary or an implementer, facing a failure by feeling through the depression and anxiety, choosing the right career path and also about carving an individuality which ranks one above others.

  This session was counted as one of the most character shaping and enlightening ones by the participants. Prof. Arun Kumar then took the stage to give a briefing to the students about ‘Smart India Hackathon’, a five day product development competition. After the briefing, the technical aspects of the same were explained by Mr. H. Mohamed Rizwan, Project Manager, Business Development at AKC innovation center. Finally, the session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Bhuvaneshwari Nagarajan, Project Manager, Dr. MGR DST NewGen IEDC.

  Hosted by Dr. Prithika U, Research Scientist, the session was a motivational and helped achieve self-realization. If not for the technical difficulty of lags in the online streaming, this session would be an example of perfection.
